MIRAMICHI • A local adventure and outdoor activity camp leader says his group is looking for space from the City of Miramichi to offer programs for local youth.

Adventures in Miramichi instructor Paul MacKinnon said the group hopes to rent the French Fort Cove Eco-Centre or another city-owned facility for some of its programming.

MacKinnon said his group is on the cusp of expansion, and having space to accommodate its programs would be handy.

“We have fantastic momentum right now and we don’t want to lose it if we can help it,” he said at a recent city council meeting. “We know we’re serving the community well by offering these things and we try to keep our prices low so everyone can access our activities.”
