MIRAMICHI • A cherished summertime tradition that brings people together and celebrates rural life is back for the 99th year.
The annual Miramichi Agricultural Exhibition began on Wednesday and runs until Saturday at the grounds on John Street and Church Street, in the former town of Chatham.
Midway rides are being provided by East Coast Amusements once again, and various displays of animals and interactive opportunities are available. The exhibition’s weekly bingo games will also be held on Friday at 6:15 p.m. and on Sunday at 1:15 p.m.
Nana’s Kitchen and other food vendors are on site. Admission to the grounds is free of charge, although wristbands for the rides are being sold daily for $45 each. Tickets for the rides cost $1.50 each, $30 for 25, $50 for 50, or $25 for five rides for special tickets.
