Norm Betts becomes fifth director of Toronto lender’s board of directors

A former provincial cabinet minister and university professor from Doaktown has been appointed to a Toronto mortgage lender’s board of directors.
Norm Betts was named an independent director of the Kuber Mortgage Investment Corporation’s board effective Jan. 1. The company announced the appointment in a news release on Jan. 23.
Betts’s appointment brought the non-bank lender’s board to five members, three of whom are independent. He’s also the company’s only director based outside of Ontario.
