Two Miramichiers have earned an opportunity to represent New Brunswick alongside their teammates from around the province at the Canadian women’s curling championships next month in Alberta.

Alternate Kayla Russell of Strathadam and Miramichi-born lead Kendra Lister, who now lives in Fredericton, will join Team Adams at the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts taking place from Feb. 16 to 25 in Calgary.

The Adams rink — based out of the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton — punched its ticket to the national bonspiel with a 7-4 victory over Team Quillian of Curl Moncton in the final draw on Sunday at the 2024 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts at the Gage Golf and Curling Club in Oromocto.
