A program aimed at improving seniors’ lives as they age in their homes is now offered in the Miramichi area.

The Nursing Homes Without Walls initiative was officially rolled out before several dignitaries and local seniors on Friday at the Shannex Losier Hall facility in Chatham Head.

The program is geared toward people aged 60 and older and ensures they and their families have access to services and information related to aging in place. It also is meant to address social isolation and loneliness through social health initiatives.
