Sports Notebook: Horseshoe league deadlocked after Week 5
League's top duos knotted with 50 points apiece, two points ahead of third place
MIRAMICHI - The Miramichi Horseshoe League’s top two duos are in a dead heat after the fifth week of play in the 2025 campaign.
As of July 14, Bill Craig and Carmen Trevors, and Rene Savoie and Tyron Breau each had 50 points. Ron Corcoran and James Cortes were close behind with 48, followed by Ed Manuel and Sharon Savoie with 44.
Rounding out the leaderboard were Pat Butler and Kerin Doyle with 38 points, Vera Menzies and Janet Debeau with 32, and Greg Cortes and Lucienne Thibodeau with 18.
