Sports Notebook: Northmen drop road game to Marauders
Dalhousie edges Miramichi in the last Beauséjour senior hockey game of 2024

DALHOUSIE • The Miramichi Mike’s Bar and Grill Northmen dropped their final game of 2024 in Beauséjour Senior Hockey League play.
The Northmen (8-7-2) fell 5-4 to the defending champ Dalhousie Marauders (9-5-1) on Dec. 28 at the Dalhousie Arena.
Miramichi’s marksmen were Kennedy Gallant, Bryce Milson, Jon Harty, and Brett Young. Dalhousie’s scorers were Brandon Coulombe with two goals and Robert Pelletier, Logan Toole, and Joey Bernard with a single apiece.
The Northmen will take on the league-leading Bouctouche Dodge Ram JCs (12-5) on Sunday at 6:45 p.m. at the J.K. Irving Centre. They’ll host the Acadian Peninsula Corsaires (5-6-4) for their last regular-season home game on Jan. 17 at 8:15 p.m. at the Miramichi Civic Centre.
The Northmen and Corsaires will rematch on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at the S.A. Dionne Arena in Tracadie.
